Erica Synths Perkons HD-01: Ready for manufacturing

The Perkons is a remarkable looking drum machine. I’ve not been as excited by a box of rhythms since the SOMA Labs Pulsar-23. While this is a very different machine, it still has enormous resonance for me in looks and sounds.

Perkons is a hybrid bo of delights. It has four synthesizer voices that pull together a digital sound engine and an analogue filter with overdrive. Each voice has its own lane in the 16-step button sequencer, where you can divide and multiply the timings, invoke ratchets and probabilities and shove in a bit of shuffle.

Over on the right are an effects and processing section with a morphable LFO, analogue BBD delay circuit and an optical compressor. At the end is a master overdrive; there’s a lot of overdrive in this thing. This is going to be a fun machine!
